Blachschleger Library

The Blachschleger Library housed within Temple Beth Or is dedicated to the memory of Rabbi Eugene Blachschleger, who served our temple from 1933-1965. Its goal is to strengthen the Montgomery Area Jewish Community by maintaining a collection that pertains to Judaism. It is our desire to cherish, remember and leave to others the wonderful traditions of Jewish Life. Our library is Accredited by the Association of Jewish Libraries, and a beautiful place to conduct general Judaic research. It also serves as a resource to enrich home practice, observance and understanding of Judaism. Our children's corner and comfortable seating areas make a visit to our library an enjoyable and comfortable leisure activity for families. Also housed within the library is the Berniece Blachschleger collection of Jewish artifacts and a family chapel.
Volunteers staff the library and have regular hours weekdays and during religion school. Members of the Jewish community may borrow books and non-members are welcome to use our library as a reading room.
